Holiday Closures for Garbage, Recycling, and Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off

The New Year’s holiday will impact curbside service schedules, drop-off locations, and the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility. 

The Kitsap County Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Facility is closed for facility maintenance and will reopen January 4.

The drop boxes at Bainbridge Island, Silverdale, Hansville, Poulsbo, and Olalla are closed New Year’s Day. Additionally, all of the drop-boxes except the Vincent Road drop-box on Bainbridge Island close at 2 pm on December 31. The Vincent Road drop-box closes at 4 pm.

The Olympic View Transfer Station is closed New Year’s Day.

Waste Management (Brem-Air) and Bainbridge Disposal do not provide service on New Year’s Day; instead pick-ups take place on Tuesday. Waste Management collection days are one day later that week. 

The City of Poulsbo garbage pick-ups continues on their regular schedule.
