“We started out the Alumni group on
July 6, 2001 with 27 past graduates attending. We came up
with idea of an Alumni group because we felt like participants
needed a place to meet after treatment. Now we have 182 past
graduates as well as phase 3 participants on our phone list.
I love being involved in this group and I love watching people
learn to smile again.”
acknowledge the hard work and of these participants who have
successfully completed the Drug Court program.
“Every member of the staff has
played a part in my recovery and
I have met some wonderful friends
along the way that I didn’t think I would. Thank you everyone."
“Before this program I wasn’t a
member of my family or even society.
Now I can excel anything I put my
mind to. I have hopes and dreams
and the best is yet to come.
"This is the most challenging thing
I’ve ever had to do in my life. Without
you guys wouldn’t be standing here today.
In the past 2 years I’ve done a complete 360, all of my family
and this program."
"Today, thru this program I believe I’ve become
more humble and grateful for everything I have. So many of you
have touched my life in a positive way, thank you."
“Thank you to everyone here today. Especially thank you
to my family for giving me another chance."
“I’m so excited to be here today. When
I first got here I didn’t have my kids,
and I was angry and alone. Now I have my three kids with me, a
full time job, and I have my life back. I am a much better
person than I ever thought I could be."
“Life is great today. Drug Court
got me to finally open up and be truthful with myself. I
am so grateful for every moment I’ve been here. Thank you."
“Today I have a new way to live, and I get to have my
baby with me. I have
earned the love and respect from my family. I couldn’t have
accomplished all that I have with out Drug Court and the support
of my family. I have a lot of new hope and gained my

“Nine years ago today,
Drug Court opened for business.
We sat there in court waiting for someone to take advantage
of our one year planning. Today we have 100 people in active
treatment and now we have a waiting list of people who
want to get into treatment. Today we will have graduated
216 participants all together and helped restore their
health, helped their families be put back together, and
helped lower the crime rate. You have all touched my
life in some way and I commend you.”
