Law Enforcement Explorer Post #1514The Kitsap County Sheriff's Office is dedicated to involving the young citizens of the community in programs that instill pride, increase self-esteem, and teach self-awareness. The Law Enforcement Explorer Program is designed to provide our youth with these skills. It provides an opportunity to participate in valuable community service activities, making Kitsap County a safer place for all citizens.
The KCSO Explorer Program is chartered through the Boy Scouts of America and is designed for young men and women between the ages of 16 and 21, who are interested in law enforcement training, community service, and recreational programs. An Explorer Cadet has the opportunity to learn first hand about various aspects of law enforcement. The Explorers meet every Monday evening and participate in training activities such as:
Minimum Requirements:
Cadet applications are accepted at any time of year. Oral board interviews for Cadet applicants will be held in January, April, July, and October. You can either download the cadet application and fill it out or fill it out on line then print it. You then need to sign it and bring or mail it to the sheriff's office. |
