Capital Improvement Program

The Surface and Stormwater Management's Capital Improvement Program includes a planning element as well as a construction element. The planning element is designed to study large sections of the County for future drainage infrastructure improvements. The construction  element includes capital construction of conveyance and flood control projects, fish passage/water quality enhancement projects and retrofit projects.

Only Rain Goes Down the Drain
Free storm drain markers "Only rain goes down the drain" are available for Silverdale and Chico businesses to remind people about pollution concerns. As part of the Dyes Inlet Restoration Project, managed by the Kitsap SSWM Program, the scuff-resistant urethane dome markers are applied to asphalt using a special glue. To order markers, contact
