Tin Cans

Tin coated steel cans include pet food, soup, tuna, and vegetable cans. RINSE and discard lids.

Tin cans have an average of 29% recycled steel. Reclaiming 1 ton of tin saves 1.5 tons of ore. Tin recycling saves an estimated 2,600-kilowatt hours per ton.

Remember to cover your load when transporting to reduce highway litter. It’s the law!
