Citizens Budget Committee

The Citizens Budget Committee was formed in 2008 to review all County programs and services and make recommendations regarding what types of services should be provided in the future. The committee has been examining the County's revenues, expenditures and mandated costs and will be making recommendations for a sustainable budget to support those services.

The committee will present an independent report to the public each year and makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners regarding their overall assessment of County services, customer satisfaction, efficiencies or improvements in service delivery, budget priorities, program funding, and actions to be taken with regard to expenditures and revenues. Visionary community leaders with some knowledge and interest in finance are encouraged to apply. The committee has been meeting on the first and third Monday evenings from 5-8 p.m.  Applications for District #2 and #3 openings will be accepted until positions are filled.
