Food and Farm Policy Council

This 15 member group is being formed to develop partnerships with local communities, business, agriculture, and government and collaborate with ongoing efforts to develop and sustain a vibrant food system that supports healthy people, communities, economies and environment. Council members will act as part of an advisory body to develop integrated and sustainable food policy and actions. The council will also advise the County Commissioners on issues of food production, distribution and access in Kitsap County.

Applicants must be residents of Kitsap County who represent food production and farming, food distribution, non-profits, sustainable communities or the "buy local" marketing concept. Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on October 30, 2009.
