COUNCIL FOR HUMAN RIGHTS

Kitsap County Commissioners are seeking citizens to serve on the Council for Human Rights.

Members advise county government and Kitsap County residents on issues related to discrimination, violence and harassment based on race or national origin, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability or economic status. The council promotes the equitable treatment of all citizens and provides education, resources, referrals and advocacy to the community.

The Council for Human Rights also organizes and hosts an annual human rights conference and forums throughout the community. Council members are expected to be part of the planning and outreach efforts for these events.
