Lodging Tax Advisory Committee

Kitsap County Commissioners are seeking candidates for the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee. This committee is made up of at least two citizens who represent organizations involved in activities authorized to be funded by lodging tax revenue or agencies involved in tourism promotion along with an equal number of members who represent businesses required to collect the lodging tax. Committee members will recommend the distribution of 2010 lodging tax revenue within established guidelines. Members will be selected from applicants who have not submitted a proposal for funding with 2010 Kitsap County Lodging Tax revenue.

This tourism promotion program which is authorized by Section 4 of Chapter 67.28 RCW indicates that lodging tax dollars are to be used for the purpose of paying all or any part of the cost of tourism promotion, acquisition of tourism-related facilities, or operation of tourism-related facilities.
