Noxious Weed Control Board Needs New Members

The Kitsap County Noxious Weed Control Board currently has openings for those who reside within the boundaries of the Bremerton weed control district and North Kitsap weed control district (which corresponds with local school districts).

Members of the Kitsap County Noxious Weed Control Board assist with the management of an effective county weed control or eradication program of noxious weeds. Noxious weeds are invasive non-native plants that have been introduced to Washington through human actions that can have far reaching impacts on agriculture, recreational lands, natural resources, and human health and safety.

If possible, four out of five members of the board shall be engaged in agriculture practices such as farming, forestry, livestock production, nursery production, or aquaculture.
