KITSAP COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION

The Kitsap County Commissioners are seeking applications from District #3 citizens interested in being considered for appointment to the Kitsap County Planning Commission. The Planning Commission assists the Department of Community Development in carrying out its responsibilities, including assistance in the preparation and implementation of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan. The nine citizens who make up the commission, conduct public hearings, and make recommendations to the Department of Community Development and the Kitsap County Board of Commissioners. Three members from each Commissioner district are appointed to serve four-year terms. Members may choose to receive $50 reimbursement/compensation for each meeting attended. The commission meets twice monthly and as needed.  Applications accepted until position filled. Candidates must complete an Application and a Supplement.
