COP (Citizens On Patrol) Volunteers

COP volunteers interact with the community and must be dedicated to helping others.  Their duties are to enforce and educate the public on handicapped parking regulations and to be the eyes and ears of law enforcement.  Volunteers are also trained to assist with traffic control, mark and process abandoned vehicles on the county right-of-way, perform junk vehicle VIN inspections and security/vacation checks.  Requires a criminal history background check including a polygraph exam.
