CRV (Community Resource Volunteers)

Community Resource Volunteers will assist the Sheriff Community Resource Officer (CRO) and the Traffic Safety Coordinator at the Sheriff Information Office in the Kitsap Mall, located in SIlverdale. Volunteers will assist walk in customers by answering frequently asked questions, providing crime prevention information, taking minor crime reports or referring customers to the CRO. Volunteers can also answer phone calls and respond to basic questions or take messages. Volunteers may be asked, but are not required, to attend community events (such as the County Fair, community neighborhood watch meetings, etc.) with the CRO and Traffic Safety Coordinator to assist with handing out information and other tasks.

Volunteers must possess good communication skills, both oral and written. Requires basic computer skills. Must be willing and able to pass a background examination, which includes a polygraph examination.
