Noxious Weed Intern

This internship project is to develop awareness of the Kitsap County Noxious Weed Control Program and help implement the goals of the weed control program in Kitsap County.

Intern will gain hands-on experience in the activities of the noxious weed program including in-depth knowledge of noxious weed control strategies and implementation, volunteer involvement and organization and community outreach. Interns will work up to 17 hours per week which may include attendance at weekend events.

Areas of interest or studies include but are not limited to Biology, Forestry, Fisheries, Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences. Interns should have completed their freshman year of college with at least a B average and have a serious interest in pursuing a career in the environmental field.
