Recreation Program Interns

Interns assist recreation staff with research, planning, development and evaluation of programs and events. Interns will act as department representatives at community events and provide on-site supervision, monitoring and security for scheduled programs and facility users.

Intern candidates will need to be physically able to carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and able to hear well enough to respond to a two-way radio or cell phone. A criminal background check through law enforcement agencies will be conducted on applicants prior to being accepted for this volunteer internship position.

Area of interest or studies in recreation or a related field preferred. Basic computer skills desired. Public contact experience is desirable, preferably with youth or in a recreational setting. Cash handling experience is desirable.
