Stream Team Assistants

Assist in environmental education activities and presentations for all age groups. Plan and conduct riparian planting projects and/or invasive weed control. May assist in grant applications, GPS mapping and other environmental projects as needed.

Intern candidates must have some proficiency in Microsoft office applications and a basic understanding of environmental issues. Candidates should have good communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with the public. Prefer some training or experience in the environmental or education field.

The interns will receive an introduction to natural resource management, technology, current policy and outreach methods. Training will be provided in native and invasive riparian plant identification, proper planting techniques and GPS or other technology as needed.

Start date October 2009. Seeking one year-long intern and two short-term interns (one term) to assist in seasonal field work.
