Citizens Asked to Consider Service on the Kitsap County Aging Advisory Council
PORT ORCHARD, WA—Citizens interested in public service are encouraged to apply for the Commissioner District 3 opening on the Area Agency On Aging Advisory Council. As a volunteer council member you will help ensure that local needs are met, seniors receive needed services and taxpayers get full value from their dollars.

The council serves the community by advising the agency in the development and implementation of the Area Plan for Aging Services funded through Kitsap County. The council conducts public hearings; represents the interests of older persons; and reviews and comments on all community policies, programs and actions which affect older persons. A majority of the members must be age 60 or older and membership is not open to individuals who are employed by agencies or organizations receiving financial assistance from the Area Agency on Aging.
