Volunteers Interested In Reviewing Grant Applications

PORT ORCHARD, WA
The Kitsap Regional Coordinating Council (KRCC) is accepting applications for residents interested in playing an important part in the allocation of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) funds. Kitsap County has traditionally distributed Federal CDBG and HOME funds to projects that promote community and individual well being. The ten citizens who make up the Public Service and Community Development Citizen Advisory Boards, assist Block Grant Planners in developing draft action plans and conducting public meetings to review proposals for use of CDBG and HOME funds. Volunteers represent consumers of services, residents of unincorporated Kitsap County and the Cities of Port Orchard, Poulsbo, or Bainbridge Island.

For further information and to receive an application packet, please contact Jan Koske, Kitsap County Volunteer Services Coordinator, at (360) 337-4650 or jkoske@co.kitsap.wa.us Applications may also be completed on line at www.kitsapgov.com/volunteer/frmbrdapp.htm Completed applications should be returned by 4:30 p.m. on May 9, 2008.
