Seeking South Kitsap Representative to Solid Waste Advisory Committee

PORT ORCHARD, WA—Commissioner Angel is seeking South Kitsap residents willing to commit a few hours of their time representing Commissioner District #2 on the Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC). Committee members act in an advisory role in the development of programs and policies concerning solid waste handling and disposal and make recommendations to the Kitsap County Board of Commissioners regarding program direction and implementation. Members also actively participate in the development of a Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan.

The committee meets at 4 p.m. on the first Wednesday of the month to review and comment upon proposed rules, policies or ordinances prior to adoption. Special meetings may be scheduled as needed in addition to regular meetings.
