Licensing and Recording desks on reduced staff Sept. 9-12

PORT ORCHARD - Customers needing assistance at the Recording and Licensing desks of the Kitsap County Auditor’s Office can expect delays Monday, Sept. 9 through Thursday, Sept. 12. Staff members will be in training meetings all four days. This training is required by the state for certification.

The Auditor recommends Licensing customers use one of five other Kitsap County locations and that recording customers use eRecording functions if at all possible during that time. Customers who need to come into the office in person may wish to wait until after the 12th when our staff has returned from training.

“There will be staff on hand during all hours in Recording and all but two hours in Licensing between Monday and Thursday, but in reduced numbers, so lines could be longer,” said Paul Andrews, Kitsap County Auditor. “We appreciate our customers’ patience as our staff goes through training that helps improve the customers’ experience once training is complete.”

The Licensing desk will be closed from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 11 and 12.
