Zoning Use Table Update

Kitsap County is updating the requirements found in the Zoning Use Table. Updates to the Zoning Use Table may impact what can be built in your neighborhood.

The update will remove barriers to investment in urban growth areas to help support affordable housing and economic development. The update will also remove barriers to investment in rural commercial and industrial areas to help support rural economies that serve the needs of local residents.


A formal recommendation is currently being developed and is anticipated to be released for public consideration in July of 2021. 


Planning Commission Work Study Materials

The Department of Community Development held a series of work study sessions with the Planning Commission to review draft materials developed based on preliminary public feedback early in the process. The resource guides below provide a summary of the draft changes being considered before finalizing a formal recommendation. The Department anticipates revisions to the content of the resource guides when the formal recommendation is released.
