‚ÄčSupporting School Success for Homeless Children of Veterans and Military Service Members
In a collaborative U.S. Departments of Education and Veterans Affairs effort, the National Center for Homeless Education released an updated brief on "Supporting School Success for Homeless Children of Veterans and Military Service Members."  The brief includes information about the educational rights of, and supports available to, children experiencing homelessness, including homeless children of veterans and military service members under Subtitle VII-B of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Assistance Act; an overview of federal programs that target services specifically to the families of veterans with school-age children; and the homeless student enrollment total, which has continued to increase significantly over the seven school years.  To view the brief, please click
