Gypsy Moth Applications5/3/2019

​The Washington State Department of Agriculture will be conducting aerial applications in this area to control the spread of the gypsy moth in April and May.

Treatments will be conducted with a small airplane.

There will be 3 treatments which will be 3 – 10 days apart.

A biological insecticide, approved for use on organic food crops, will be used.

​Washington State Department of Veteran Affairs:

Are you a Korean War Veteran in Washington State? Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Seattle seeks Korean War veterans to honor with the Ambassador for Peace MedalIf you served in Korean War, you may be eligible for the Korean Ambassador for Peace Medal. This commemorative medal is an expression of appreciation from the Korean government to American service men and women who served in the Korean War. The Ambassador for Peace Medal was first presented to veterans as a specialmemento for those of who returned to South Korea through the ‘Revisit Program’. The honor has since expanded to veterans who cannot travel long journey to Korea. The Ambassador for Peace Medal and Certificate will be presented to all eligible veterans in attendance as an expression of appreciation from the Korean government to American service men and women. To be eligible, veterans must have served in Korea during the Korean War from June 25, 1950 to July 27, 1953. It is also available for the veterans who participated in UN peacekeeping operations until the end of 1955. THE UNFORGOTTEN, RUN TO TAHOMA VIII MAY 26TH5/10/2018

Kitsap County Board of Commissioners, Kitsap County Coroner's Office, Kitsap County Veterans Advisory Board and Combat Veterans International invite you to The Unforgotten, Run to Tahoma VIII Celebration of Life Ceremony, hosted on Memorial Day weekend. The event begins at the Kitsap County Administration Building, 614 Division Street, Port Orchard, WA 98366 at 9:45 a.m.
