Pet Waste Pickup Station

Dogs in Kitsap County drop more than 11 tons of waste each day – and it doesn’t just go away.

Bag it and trash it.

Picking up after Fido isn’t just the neighborly thing to do.  It goes a long way to protect the health of our lakes, streams and Puget Sound.

Landfills are designed to safely handle pet waste.  Yards, trails, streets, parks, and compost piles are not.

Do you have a ‘poo’ problem in your area?
You care about your community and your business. Pet waste in your area is unpleasant and can make children and pets sick. Bacteria from pet waste can contaminate our local streams and waterways. By putting up a Mutt Mitt station and providing bags, you make it easy for dog owners to pick up after their dog. We can help!

Kitsap County can provide you with:
• A sturdy metal bag dispenser
• A starting supply of 600 bags
• A sign identifying you or your business as the sponsor of the pet waste station
• An annual allotment of 500 bags per year to help you keep the station stocked
