Are you ready to gain valuable hints and secrets of the trades of grounds and building maintenance from experts in the field? These hands on and classroom trainings will give you insights into best practices and help you shine at your job. Also show off your skills and win bragging rights for your department among your state-wide peers by competing in a FUN Skills RODEO each afternoon. Register as a 2-4 member team for just $200 per team, individuals may register for $75/person.

Mornings – 8:30 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.

Extending the Life of Synthetic Turf - Shane Nogueira, Astro Turf
Invasive Weed ID & Control - Dana Coggon, WSU Noxious Weed Coord.
Hazardous Tree Assessment - Arno Bergstrom, Kitsap County Parks
Lunch and Sponsor Exhibits 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.

Afternoons – 12:45 p.m. - 4:45 p.m.
(Award Ceremony on Thursday at 4:45 p.m.)
Rodeo Events Held in the Kitsap Sun Pavilion North Parking Lot:
1.Truck and Trailer Obstacle Course
2.Plant/Weed Identification
3.Nail Driving Contest
4.Mower Obstacle Course

5.Backpack Blower Obstacle Course

Conference attendees may sign up to participate in the rodeo or just watch the fun (but come on, it’s way more fun to participate!).
