(Port Orchard, WA) – North Kitsap and Poulsbo residents can bring their hazardous household chemicals to a free, one-day collection event scheduled for Saturday, June 9th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the City of Poulsbo facility at 22125 Viking Ave NW, Poulsbo, WA 98370 (north of SONIC Drive-In).

This event is for Kitsap County residents with household products. Event staff cannot accept waste from businesses or other non-household organizations. Containers must be 5 gallons or smaller. Latex paint will not be accepted at this event. 

This one-day event supplements the permanent, year-round Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility in Bremerton. View the facility’s webpage for more information.

Accepted at no charge:

  • adhesives
  • aerosols
  • antifreeze
  • CFLs (compact fluorescent lamps)
  • corrosive chemicals
  • flammable liquids
  • fluorescent tubes and other mercury lamps
  • household batteries
  • lawn and garden chemicals
  • motor oil
  • oil-based paints and stains
  • paint thinners
  • pool and spa chemicals
  • vehicle batteries

Not accepted:

  • No latex paint.
  • No sharps / syringes.
  • No marine flares.
  • No business or non-profit waste.
  • No containers over 5 gallons.

Safety Rules:

  • Do not mix products.
  • Transport items in leak-proof tubs.
  • Keep in original containers, or label containers.
  • Keep items out of vehicle passenger area.
