We count every single penny and report where it went.
In addition to counting every single penny, we provide monthly reports on expenditures and revenue to all county departments and junior taxing districts. However, the most important financial information we report to you is known as the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). It provides a detailed snapshot of Kitsap County's financial status for the previous fiscal year.
Our creativity and innovation were recognized in 2013 when we redesigned the complex CAFR into our Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR), which received the Government Finance Officers Association Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting.
